Job summary

Emerald Healthcare in Lexington, KY is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Nursing team. You will provide compassionate resident care, assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and document changes in electronic health records to support quality care.

The ideal candidate holds a Kentucky CNA certification, can lift and position residents, and works well with nurses and physicians to ensure residents’ safety and comfort in a skilled nursing facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in resident care within a skilled nursing or similar setting.
• Ability to lift/move residents and perform physical tasks.
• Current CNA certification in Kentucky is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and safe ambulation.
• Monitor and record vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, resp.).
• Document care provided and changes in residents' conditions in EHR.
• Report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with feeding and meal prep as needed.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean environment.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians for comprehensive care.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Work Environment

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.
• Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
• Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting PREFERRED.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
• Certifications: Current CNA certification in Kentucky required.
