Emerald Healthcare in Pikeville, KY is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. You will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

This full-time day-shift role (7a–7p) operates in a clinical healthcare environment. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, vital signs, documentation in electronic health records, and work closely with nurses and physicians to deliver

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Kentucky required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene).
• Support mobility with transferring, positioning, and ambulation as directed.
• Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Document care provided and changes in residents’ conditions in electronic health records.
• Communicate changes or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with feeding, meal prep, and provide companionship.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.
• Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
• Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
• Certifications: Current CNA certification in Kentucky required.
