Job summary

Goldwater Care Gibson City is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist residents with personal hygiene, mobility and daily care while monitoring vital signs and weight. You will document actions, adhere to standards and maintain licensure.

The role requires CPR certification, a minimum age of 18, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts in a full-time setting at our Illinois facility.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) per state requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in personal hygiene (bedpans, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves) and help with bathroom trips.
• Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; document intake/output.
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
• Adhere to professional standards, policies and procedures, and all applicable regulations.
• Update knowledge by educational opportunities and maintaining licensure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide assistance in personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.




• Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information.




• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.




• Adhere to professional standards, company policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local requirements, including JCAHO standards, when applicable.




• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; and maintaining licensure.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state of practice.


• Must be at least 18 years of age.


• Current CPR certification required.


• Must be able to work 12 hours a shift.
