Job summary

Sterling Healthcare Management in Elwood, IN is seeking a caring Certified Nursing Assistant to join our long-term care team. You will provide hands-on personal care, assist with daily routines, and be the heartbeat of our nursing floor as part of a dedicated team.

This full-time role requires a valid CNA license in Indiana, completion of a Nurse Aide Training program, and a compassionate, reliable team player who can work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current, valid CNA license in the state of practice.
• Completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide Training program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Long-term care experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Genuine compassion for elderly and medically complex residents.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
• Help residents with meals, hydration, and feeding as needed.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and repositioning.
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and intake and output.
• Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition to the nurse.
• Respond to call lights quickly and with a caring attitude.
• Follow care plans, infection control protocols, and safety standards.
• Document care provided accurately each shift.
