Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Slidell is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our Metairie, LA team in delivering personalized in-home care that promotes independence and dignity.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, providing companionship, preparing meals, light housekeeping, and safe mobility support, while keeping detailed care logs and communicating changes to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving, home health aide (HHA) or personal care aide (PCA) preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and families.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping like laundry, vacuuming and tidying spaces.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and ambulation for client safety.
• Monitor and report changes in health or behavior to supervisors.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands and social activities.
• Maintain accurate care logs and daily documentation.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
