Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Slidell is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our in-home care team in Slidell, LA. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and support families in the comfort of clients' homes.

We value reliability, clear communication, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Prior caregiving experience and CPR/First Aid certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving, home health, or personal care aide experience preferred
• Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor client health and well-being
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social activities
• Document and report any changes in client condition to supervisors
