Job summary

Three Notch Group in Huntsville, AL is seeking a motivated Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician to support field observations, testing, inspections, and documentation for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. You will work with engineers, managers, contractors, and clients to ensure quality and conformance to project requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to two years of construction or construction materials testing experience preferred, but not required.
• Industry certifications such as ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, NICET, ICC, or DOT certifications preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans, geotechnical reports, project specifications, and building codes.
• Perform field observations, testing, and inspections on various construction projects.
• Monitor contractor activities and document conformance with project plans and standards.
• Prepare clear, accurate field reports and test summaries in company systems.
• Communicate testing results and non-conformance findings to stakeholders.
