Job summary

Three Notch Group in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our field team. You will perform field observations, testing, inspections, and documentation across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects in the region.

You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure conformance with plans, specs, and geotechnical recommendations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
• 1–2 years of construction or materials testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, reports, specs, and codes.
• Perform field observations, testing, and inspections on various projects regionwide.
• Monitor contractor activities and document conformance with plans and standards.
• Perform testing for concrete, soils, and aggregates per ASTM/ACI guidelines.
• Collect samples and prepare field reports and test summaries promptly.
