Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Project Manager for Construction Materials Testing in Charlotte, NC. You will lead field testing, data analysis, reporting and client consultation as part of the Intertek-PSI team, delivering quality assurance for civil and commercial projects.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a North Carolina P.E. license or eligibility, and 5+ years of CMT/inspection experience, with strong budgeting and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years’ experience in construction materials testing and inspection.
• North Carolina P.E. license or eligibility to obtain in-state/adjacent-state.
• Business development & project proposal creation/management.
• Prior personnel management, hiring and training experience.
• P&L responsibilities management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to read and interpret work plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform field engineering duties, data reduction, analysis and fieldwork for diverse project types.
• Assist with project management, reporting, and client communication.
• Perform field inspection, sampling and testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
• Prepare and review reports; manage proposals and follow up.
• Ensure projects stay on budget, handle billing and project closeout.
• Schedule and coordinate field testing and inspections; train field staff on testing techniques.
• Support other PSI team members with field, lab, and office tasks.
