ECS Group of Companies seeks a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Engineer I to lead and execute low-complexity testing projects from proposal to completion in Melbourne, FL. You will coordinate field staff, manage budgets, prepare reports, and maintain strong client communications while upholding ECS Core Values.

You will also mentor junior staff, support business development efforts, and ensure timely documentation and reporting of project activities.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• P.E. license in each state of work is required.
• 2 years of related experience.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Knowledge of construction materials testing principles and ASTM standards.

Mansioni

• Manages construction materials testing projects from proposal through completion for low-complexity work.
• Reviews daily field reports and resolves technical and administrative issues.
• Manages project budgets, invoices, pay applications, and collections.
• Prepares proposals and change orders.
• Supports testing of soils, foundations, concrete, masonry, steel, fireproofing, and asphalt.
• Coordinates field staff and provides training and oversight.
• Communicates with clients regarding status and deliverables.
• Mentors junior staff and ensures accurate project documentation.

Formazione

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Geology

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license

Strong verbal and written communication

Project management and organizational skills

Developing client relationship and business development skills
