Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a CMT Staff Project Manager II for our Orlando field services team. The role supports construction materials testing projects through technical analysis, reporting, and coordination with increasing independence.

The position involves budgeting, documentation, and client interaction while developing technical, consulting, and project management skills in a customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology
• No professional license required to progress
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiary
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Basic knowledge of CMT principles and applications
• Basic knowledge of ASTM standards and testing procedures
• Ability to work effectively with teams, clients, and supervisors
• Developing project management and organizational skills
• Basic business development and client relationship skills
• Limited but growing decision-making ability

Responsibilities

• Supports management of CMT projects, including daily report review and issue resolution
• Manages project budgets, prepares invoices, pay apps, and supports collections
• Prepares proposals and change orders for CMT projects
• Performs or supports laboratory testing, soil classification, and materials evaluation
• Supports and performs testing of soils, foundations, concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing, and asphalt
• Reviews field reports for accuracy and timeliness of documentation
• Assists with training and coordination of field staff on projects
• Performs lifecycle tasks: proposal, execution, closeout
• Communicates with project teams, contractors, and clients for successful delivery
• Performs other technical and project coordination tasks as assigned
