Qualifications

• Current Kentucky CNA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed and document administration accurately.
• Observe, document and report medication effectiveness, side effects and adverse reactions to nursing staff.
• Promote and protect resident rights during medication administration.
• Store, handle and account for medications according to policy and regulations.
• Maintain accurate medication records and shift accountability.
• Obtain, document and report vital signs during medication administration.
• Follow infection control and medication safety practices.
• Inspect, clean and monitor equipment and supplies used in medication administration.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, staff and leadership.
• Seek guidance from licensed staff when clinical clarification is needed.
• Assist with additional resident care duties as assigned.
