Qualifications

• Must hold current Kentucky CNA certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a medication administration training program approved by Kentucky.
• At least 1 year of experience in long-term care or senior living preferred.
• Ability to follow clinical direction and regulatory standards.
• Clear and professional communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed and document administration.
• Observe, document and report medication effects and adverse reactions.
• Promote and protect resident rights during medication administration.
• Store and account for medications according to policy.
• Maintain accurate medication records and shift accountability.
• Obtain and document vital signs as indicated.
• Follow infection control and medication safety practices.
• Communicate clearly with residents, staff and leadership.
• Assist with additional resident care duties as assigned.
