Job summary

Atlas Technical Consultants is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Lab Technician 1 in Lubbock to support the West Texas area. You will perform soils, aggregate, HMA and concrete testing in the lab per TxDOT and ASTM standards, with opportunities to advance toward TxAPA/ACI certifications.

The role requires 1+ years of testing experience, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to travel. Proficiency with Word/Excel and accurate data logging is essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in construction materials testing (lab/field).
• Able to read test procedures, specifications and lab worksheets.
• Knowledge of soils, aggregates, HMA and concrete testing.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• TxAPA/ACI certifications preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and testing documentation.
• Willing to travel up to 25% for field support in West Texas.
• Comfortable in a lab environment with occasional physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Conduct material testing in the lab.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment.
• Log and document test data.
• Support occasional field sampling.
• Communicate results to Lab Manager.
• Follow safety policies.
• Pursue TxAPA/ACI certifications as you grow.
• Travel up to 25% for field support.
