Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Lab Technician 1 in Lubbock to support the West Texas area. You will perform soils, aggregates, HMA and concrete testing in the lab per TxDOT and ASTM standards, with growth toward TxAPA/ACI certifications.

You should have 1+ years in materials testing or strong aptitude, a valid driver's license, and be willing to learn and travel up to 25% for field support in the region. We offer benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in construction materials testing preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend test procedures, specifications and lab worksheets.
• Knowledge of soils, aggregates, HMA and concrete testing preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willing to learn toward TxAPA/ACI certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab testing for soils, aggregates, HMA and concrete to TxDOT specs.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment.
• Log and document test data.
• Occasional field sampling and reporting results to Lab Manager.
• Follow safety policies and pursue certifications.
