ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Intern Level 2 in Florida to support field and lab tasks. You will gain hands-on experience in soil, concrete, asphalt testing, and data collection while advancing through required certifications and building project knowledge.

The role emphasizes reliability, professionalism, and customer service as you work with senior staff and project teams to ensure accurate field reports and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic math and data interpretation skills required.
• Proficiency with data entry tools and electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observation and testing with guidance from senior staff.
• Conduct routine soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials testing with increasing independence.
• Document field conditions and test results in timely field reports.
• Assist in maintaining and organizing field and laboratory equipment.
• Perform basic calculations, data reduction, and data entry tasks.
• Communicate with contractors and project teams about testing activities and site conditions.
• Assist with reviewing laboratory results and supporting project documentation.
• Maintain clean and organized field and lab environments.
• Participate in project meetings and coordination activities as requested.
