Job summary

ECS Limited in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician. No experience is required; paid training is provided, and certification fees are covered.

You will conduct field sampling, testing soils, aggregates, and concrete, collect data, and communicate with project managers under supervision, with avenues to obtain OSHA 10 and other certifications as you progress.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Observe, test, and sample materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) at project sites.
• Testing Procedures: Perform routine field and lab tests following standards.
• Data Collection: Calculate data from samples and tests; assist with drafting.
• Communication: Update site contractors and managers; report changes.
