Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our New Orleans team. No experience is required, and you will learn under experienced professionals while performing field observations, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete on project sites.

We provide paid training, cover certification fees, and support your professional growth through OSHA 10, ASNT, ICC, and related programs.

Qualifications

No experience required.
High school diploma or GED.
Must lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow laws and company policies.
Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards.
OSHA 10 certification may be required.
Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete at project sites.
Perform field and laboratory tests using standard methods.
Collect data, perform calculations, and assist drafting and administrative tasks.
Maintain communication with site contractors and project managers; report changes.
Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings precisely.
