Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Lexington, KY is seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician. No experience is required as you will learn under experienced professionals, with paid training and certification fees covered by the employer.

Responsibilities include field observation, sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete, plus data collection, testing, and coordination with project teams. OSHA 10 and other certifications are encouraged as you grow with ECS.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and applications, ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Observe, test, and sample materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) at project sites.
• Testing Procedures: Perform routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards.
• Data Collection: Compute and summarize test results and observations; assist with drafting and admin tasks.
• Communication: Maintain daily contact with site contractors and project managers; report changes and requests.
• Training and Development: Learn ECS methodologies and obtain certifications (OSHA 10, ACI, ASNT, etc.).
