Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and cast cylinders on active sites along the Gulf Coast. You will document results the same day and relay findings to superintendents on site.

This entry-level role offers paid training and comprehensive certification sponsorship, including ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge safety.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable working outdoors in Gulf Coast heat and weather
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable
• No prior experience required; training provided and certifications sponsored

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31; run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938; prepare clear daily field reports linked to placement locations; maintain gauge standardization and chain of custody; communicate results to superintendents on the spot
