Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks field technicians to sample concrete, run slump, air, and temperature tests, and cast cylinders. You’ll verify soil compaction with a nuclear density gauge and document results the same day. Entry level; we train and sponsor certifications including ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge safety.

You will travel to sites, work outdoors, and report findings to superintendents on site. The role is physical, outdoors, and essential to project quality.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certification a plus – company sponsors both.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
