Atlas is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician to join a high-profile project just outside Columbus, Ohio. Candidates should hold ICC Reinforced Concrete or ICC Soils certifications and have at least five years of construction materials testing experience.

The role requires long hours, potential night shifts and weekends, travel within the region, and strong ability to read plans, perform tests, and report results with attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• ICC Reinforced Concrete or Soils REQUIRED.
• 5 Years experience in construction material testing REQUIRED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Physical strength to lift/move 50 lbs and work in varying conditions.
• Willingness to travel near the reporting office and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Performs construction related field tests as directed by the CMT Manager and Supervisory Staff.
• Daily work 10 to 12 hours per day; able to work night and weekends when required.
• Relays information to project manager/engineer with limited in-field decision making.
• Transports equipment, test specimens, and documents to field personnel or lab and assists with setup.
• Enters daily field observation and summary reports electronically.

Were looking for a Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team on a high profile project just outside of Columbus Ohio If you have an ICC Soils andor ICC Reinforced Concrete certification and at least five years of construction materials testing experience this is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise contribute to a meaningful project and work alongside a team dedicated to quality and safety.

Core Responsibilities

• Performs construction related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager and Supervisory Staff
• Daily work 10 to 12 hours per day able to work night and weekends when required
• Relays information to project manager andor engineer with limited in field decision making
• Transports equipment test specimens andor documents to field personnel laboratory clients or other offices and provides physical assistance in equipment set up
• Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically
• Performs field quality control tests of reinforcing steel and reinforced concrete construction
• Performs field density testing on soil asphalt and other construction materials
• Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and supports other departments as necessary
• Follows Atlas safety policies and procedures
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs
• Ability to follow Atlas QC plan and SOPs

Qualifications & Requirements

• ICC Reinforced Concrete or Soils REQUIRED
• 5 Years experience in construction material testing REQUIRED

• Physical strength stamina and dexterity to lift and move 50 lbs stoop bend and stand throughout the course of a workday in varying weather conditions in varying terrain

• Works well independently
• Should be safety conscious a team player energetic self motivated eager to learn possess good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
