Job summary

NOVA Engineering in Kennesaw, GA is seeking a CMT Field Engineer to support construction materials testing and inspection projects across the Atlanta metropolitan area. The role is salaried with overtime opportunities and a focus on fieldwork and reporting.

Candidates should have a Civil Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) and 0–4+ years of relevant field testing experience; EIT is preferred but not required. 80% fieldwork, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (or equivalent with NCEES evaluation) is required.
• 0–4+ years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soils, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt.
• Entry-level graduates are encouraged to apply.
• EIT license is preferred, not required.
• Fieldwork entails ~80% of duties with potential travel.

Responsibilities

• Staff/project engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for CM testing/inspection and related geotechnical work.
• Assisting with project management & reporting.
• Field inspection, sampling & testing of soils/foundations, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
• Report preparation.
• Client consultation and maintenance.
• Providing assistance to other NOVA team members to promote the overall objectives of the company.
