Job summary

ŌURA is seeking a Staff Engineer, Technical Lead to spearhead a new CMS initiative that serves multiple business teams across our consumer and marketing properties. You will guide architecture across frontend and backend systems, drive scalable publishing capabilities, and collaborate with product, design, and marketing to align on content workflows.

The role requires 8+ years of engineering experience, strong cross-functional leadership, and hands-on experience with CMS platforms and modern

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience leading large engineering projects with direction and delivery planning.
• Experience with content management systems and multi-team CMS initiatives.
• Strong technical proficiency across front-end and back-end stacks.
• Experience designing on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical direction for a CMS platform supporting multiple digital properties.
• Lead architecture and implementation decisions across frontend and backend systems for scalability and reliability.
• Partner with product, design, marketing and other stakeholders to understand workflows and publishing needs.
• Establish engineering practices for design, delivery, observability, and operational excellence.
• Contribute to code delivery, design reviews, and key implementation decisions.
• Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform investment and multi-site publishing.
