Job summary

Ōura is seeking a Staff Engineer, Technical Lead to spearhead a new CMS initiative supporting multiple business teams and publishing to several digital properties. You will guide architecture, partner with product, design, and marketing, and drive delivery across front-end and back-end systems on a modern cloud platform.

You will shape content workflows and governance, mentor engineers, and balance rapid delivery with foundational platform investments to ensure reliability and scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience leading large engineering projects, including technical direction and delivery planning.
• Experience with agentic coding and emerging AI technologies.
• Experience working with content management systems in a multi-team environment.
• Strong technical proficiency across front-end and back-end stacks.
• Experience designing and operating systems on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong fundamentals in system design, APIs, data flows, and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead a new engineering initiative focused on CMS capabilities serving multiple business teams.
• Define the technical direction for a CMS platform across publishing channels.
• Collaborate with PM and stakeholders to understand content workflows and governance needs.
• Drive architecture and implementation decisions for scalable, maintainable systems.
• Establish engineering practices for design, delivery, observability, and reliability.
• Contribute to technical problem solving, code delivery, and design reviews.
• Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform investments.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships across Commerce and related teams.
