Job summary

Ōura is seeking a Staff Engineer, Technical Lead to guide a new CMS platform that serves multiple teams and digital properties, including ouraring.com and The Pulse blog. You will shape architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, design, marketing, and content teams.

You will operate across frontend and backend, design cloud-native solutions on AWS/GCP/Azure, ensure reliability and performance, and balance short-term delivery with long-term platform investment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience leading large engineering projects with technical direction and delivery planning.
• Experience with content management systems in a multi-team environment.
• Strong proficiency across the stack with frontend and backend capabilities.
• Experience designing and operating systems on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead a new engineering initiative focused on CMS capabilities serving multiple business teams.
• Define the technical direction for a CMS platform supporting publishing to multiple digital properties and channels.
• Partner with PM and cross-functional stakeholders to understand content workflows and governance.
• Drive architecture and implementation decisions across frontend and backend for scalability and reliability.
• Establish engineering practices for system design, delivery, observability, quality, and operational excellence.
• Contribute to code delivery, reviews, and key implementation decisions.
• Balance short-term delivery with longer-term platform investments.
• Build strong relationships with Commerce teams and adjacent organizations.
