Job summary

ADT is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to distribute monthly billings, enter adjustments, and update customer accounts. The role includes handling incoming calls, processing payments, and maintaining accurate files in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities include researching payments, assisting dealers/customers via phone, processing credit card and ACH transactions, and supporting month-end close. A high school diploma and 1 year billing or data entry experience are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 1 year data entry, cash application, billing and/or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of billing services is preferred.
  • Must be PC literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Research payments from customers for account and invoice number.
  • Assist dealers/customers over the phone with inquiries.
  • Process credit card and ACH transactions.
  • Data entry: bill coding, account changes, new accounts, adjustments, cancellations.
  • Address questions about outside service provider invoices to ensure accurate billing.
  • Research and resolve customer issues with other departments.
  • Identify and correct exceptions on billing integrity reports.
  • Maintain accurate customer files and assist with monthly close.
  • Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Research payments received from customers for customer account and invoice number
  • Assist dealers/customer over the phone with incoming calls.
  • Process credit card and ACH transactions.
  • Perform data entry functions including bill coding, account information changes, new account set-up, adjustments and cancellations.
  • Assist with dealer’s questions regarding outside service provider invoices to customer billing to ensure accurate billing.
  • Professional interaction with customers and other departments to research and resolve customer issues.
  • Research and correct exceptions on billing integrity reports.
  • Maintain accurate customer files.
  • Assist with monthly close process.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge
  • Knowledge of billing services.
  • Must be PC literate with knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or Access) and have the ability to learn other software functions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), and one year data entry, cash application, billing and/or customer service experience.
