Job summary

OptiMIM, a Form Technologies Company, seeks an experienced CMM Technician to support high-volume production of small, injection molded metal components by creating and qualifying measurement processes. You will also assist engineering development and manufacturing.

Essential duties include designing measurement workflows, performing First Article Inspections and GR&R studies, and supporting QA and production with process improvements and CMM troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• AA degree in technical field preferred.
• 3-5 years as a CMM tech in high-volume manufacturing.
• Proficiency in programming/operating CMMs (OPG, Zeiss, Mitutoyo) with Zone3/PC-DMIS/Calypso.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and dimensional metrology.

Responsibilities

• Review new product designs and recommend measurement processes using tools like hand tools, fixtures, visual systems, and CMMs.
• Create measurement processes for new designs and validate accuracy and repeatability for production.
• Complete new product qualification activities including First Article Inspection, GR&R, and capability studies.
• Support production/QA to improve measurement procedures and troubleshoot CMM programs.
