Job summary

Methode Electronics is seeking a senior CMM Lead to supervise a team of programmers and inspectors in a CMM/metrology lab. You will program, set up, and run first-article, in-process, and final inspections for complex Mil/Aero components using Calypso and PC-DMIS.

You will apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5, develop inspection plans, review drawings, and ensure AS9102 compliance while leading a high-mix, low-volume production environment. Strong leadership and calibration responsibilities are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CMM programming and inspection experience
• Advanced GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5
• Experience with Mil/Aero environments
• Ability to interpret complex drawings and 3D models
• Leadership and scheduling in a high-mix, low-volume setting

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of CMM programmers/inspectors
• Program and run first-article, in-process, and final inspections
• Develop inspection plans using GD&T and AS9102
• Review drawings and models to create datum structures
• Troubleshoot CMM issues and drive root-cause analysis
• Perform Gauge R&R and MSA studies
• Maintain and calibrate CMMs and metrology equipment
• Train staff on programming software and GD&T
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering
• Support NPI and new part inspections
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and Mil/Aero quality requirements
• Manage CMM room workflow and staffing
• Evaluate metrology equipment upgrades
• Conduct performance reviews and development of staff
• Other duties as assigned
