Job summary

Methode Electronics is seeking a CMM Supervisor to lead a team of programmers and inspectors in a high-mix, low-volume Mil/Aero environment. You will program, set up, and run first article, in-process, and final inspections using PC-DMIS and Calypso, and translate complex drawings into robust inspection plans.

You will apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5, develop AS9102 FAI reports, and coordinate Calibration/Traceability while mentoring staff and ensuring on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• AS/BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of CMM programming and inspection experience, with prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Advanced, working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Proficiency programming and operating CMMs using both Calypso and PC-DMIS software.
• Experience with Gauge R&R, MSA, and other statistical measurement validation methods.
• Experience with Mil/Aero, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and mentor CMM programmers and inspectors to meet production and shipping schedules.
• Program, set up, and run first-article, in-process, and final inspections using PC-DMIS and Calypso for Mil/Aero components.
• Review drawings and build inspection plans, datum structures, and AS9102 FAI reports.
• Troubleshoot CMM program errors and drive root-cause corrective actions for measurement issues.
• Maintain and calibrate CMMs and metrology equipment; coordinate external calibrations as needed.
• Train and cross-train staff on programming software, GD&T interpretation, and inspection best practices.
