Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a skilled CMM Operator/Programmer to support quality inspection in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will program and operate CMMs to ensure measurements meet engineering specs and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have GD&T knowledge, experience with CMM software, and the ability to read blueprints and CAD models. This role offers growth within a team-oriented operation and exposure to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of CMM programming/operating experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CMM software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and 3D CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create inspection routines.
• Perform FAI, in-process, and final inspections.
• Analyze measurement data and generate inspection reports.
• Identify and report dimensional issues; collaborate with production and engineering teams.
