Job summary

Advanced Machining and Tooling LLC in Poway, CA is seeking a CMM Programmer/Operator to support the Quality department with accurate programming and inspection of parts, review of incoming material and shipments to meet AS9100 standards. This is a full-time, in-person role reporting to the Quality Manager.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of CMM operating and 1+ year of programming, with strong GD&T, blueprint reading, and measurement tool knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CMM operating
• 1+ years of CMM programming
• Strong blueprint reading, GD&T, setup, tooling and fixture techniques
• Ability to create inspection reports (1st article/in-process/final)
• Knowledge of inspection tools such as Micrometers and Calipers
• Good typing skills (Word/Excel)
• Understanding CAD models
• Root cause analysis
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in shop arithmetic and math
• Awareness of safety and quality systems
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Load parts, fixtures, and probes; run existing CMM programs
• Write and validate CMM programs; provide supporting docs for inspections
• Communicate with machinists, supervisors and engineers to meet needs
• Troubleshoot machine and measuring process issues
• Perform 1st article, in-process and final inspections
• Complete PPAP requirements including control plans and reports
• Perform incoming material inspections per AS9100
• Perform final inspections per AS9100
• Conduct process and manufacturing audits and corrective actions
• Cross-train across departments
• Data collection and communication in ERP and other apps
• Comply with company policies
