Job summary

Advanced Machining and Tooling LLC in Poway, CA seeks a Quality Inspector with CMM programming experience to support the quality department in achieving AS9100 objectives. You will program, inspect, and document measurements, coordinate with machinists and engineers, and drive root-cause analysis for process improvements.

Responsibilities include PPAP completion, material inspection, and final inspection per AS9100. This is a full-time, in-person role requiring precision and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CMM operating
• 1+ years of CMM programming
• Strong blueprint reading, GD&T, setup, tooling and fixture techniques
• Ability to create inspection reports and perform 1st article/in-process/final inspections
• Knowledge of inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Strong math and shop arithmetic skills
• Awareness of safety and quality systems
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Load parts, fixtures, and probes; run existing CMM programs
• Write, validate and debug CMM programs and provide documentation
• Communicate with machinists, supervisors, and engineers to meet needs
• Troubleshoot machine issues and measuring processes
• Perform 1st piece, in-process and final inspections per AS9100
• Complete PPAP requirements including control plans and inspection reports
• Perform incoming material inspection per AS9100 and AS6174
• Perform final inspections per AS9100 and audits with corrective actions
• Cross-train across departments as needed
• Data collection and reporting in ERP and other systems
