Job summary
Cogent Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Metrology specialist to program CMMs for high-precision aerospace components, including FAI, in-process and final inspections.
You will interpret ASME Y14.5 GD&T, plan Gauge R&R studies, calibrate shop-floor metrology gear, and analyze SPC data to support CAPA investigations in ISO/AS9100 environments. Qualifications
- Associate degree in Metrology or QA with 3–5+ years CMM programming.
- Hands-on PC-DMIS, ZEISS Calypso, or MCOSMOS experience; CAD apps like SolidWorks or Creo preferred.
- Strong ASME Y14.5 / ISO GD&T knowledge and MSA/Gauge R&R procedures.
- Experience with handheld/non-contact measurement devices and gear measurement systems preferred.
- Experience in ISO 9001/AS9100/ISO/IEC 17025 environments; ASQ certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and debug CMM programs for FAI, in-process, and final inspections.
- Interpret ASME Y14.5 GD&T blueprints for ultra-precision components.
- Plan Gauge R&R, linearity, and bias studies to validate measurement capabilities.
- Manage calibration schedules for shop-floor metrology equipment per ISO/IEC standards.
- Analyze SPC data and support CAPA root-cause investigations.
