Job summary

Cardinal Staffing Services is seeking a CMM Programmer/Operator in Sterling Heights, MI to support the development of dimensional reporting programs and templates using the latest software. The role involves managing CMM measurement cycles and ensuring accuracy of dimensional data in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include program development, fixture reviews, blueprint interpretation with GD&T, calibration tasks, and compliance with safety and audits.

Qualifications

• CMM inspection and programming experience with Ziess or PC-DMIS2020R or newer.
• Must be experienced in reading blueprints and have a full understanding of GD&T.
• Experience with inspecting formed sheet metal products.
• Perform 1st Piece Laser Machining and Form Buy-offs.
• Ability to complete detailed inspection plans documenting inspection results.
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Background in Automotive and Aerospace products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop operating programs to provide accurate dimensional reporting.
• Review and evaluation of CMM holding fixtures, component parts, and assembly inspection fixtures.
• Complete detailed inspection plans documenting inspection results; Perform calibration of inspection fixtures, gauges, holding fixtures, tools, etc.
• Must be experienced in reading blueprints and have a full understanding of GD&T.
• Cooperate with internal and external certification audits and customer audits.
• Adhere to team handbook, quality, safety, and environmental standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate.
