Job summary

Donaldson Company is seeking a CMM Programmer in Dixon, IL to develop, maintain, and execute CMM programs for dimensional inspection of manufactured components. The role operates 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:00 pm, with responsibilities spanning setup, interpretation of drawings, GD&T application, and report generation.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and practical experience with CMM programming and PC-DMIS, plus GD&T proficiency and CAD model interpretation.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED.
• Experience programming and operating CMM equipment.
• Proficiency with PC-DMIS or equivalent CMM software.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to read complex drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain CMM programs for dimensional inspection.
• Set up CMMs and related inspection equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models.
• Analyze inspection results and generate reports.
• Support FAI, PPAP, and root-cause investigations.
