Cardinal Staffing Services is seeking a CMM Programmer/Operator in Sterling Heights, MI to support the development of dimensional reporting programs and templates using the latest software. The role involves managing CMM measurement cycles and ensuring accuracy of dimensional data in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include program development, fixture reviews, blueprint interpretation with GD&T, calibration tasks, and compliance with safety and audits.

Qualifications

• CMM inspection and programming experience with Ziess or PC-DMIS2020R or newer.
• Must be experienced in reading blueprints and have a full understanding of GD&T.
• Experience with inspecting formed sheet metal products.
• Perform 1st Piece Laser Machining and Form Buy-offs.
• Ability to complete detailed inspection plans documenting inspection results.
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Background in Automotive and Aerospace products is a plus.

Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring for a CMM Programmer in Sterling Heights, MI.

Job Description: The CMM Programmer/Operator will provide primary support for the development of Dimensional Reporting programs and/or templates. This candidate will apply knowledge in the latest version of dimensional reporting software. The CMM programmer/operator will take an active role in the completion of the scheduled measurement cycle through operation of CMM equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop operating programs to provide accurate dimensional reporting Perform review and evaluation of CMM holding fixtures, component part, and assembly inspection fixtures
• Complete detailed inspection plans documenting inspection resultsPerform and/or assist with calibration of inspection fixtures, gauges, holding fixtures, tools, etc. per established schedules
• Must be experienced in reading blueprints and have a full understanding of GD&TMaintain a clean and safe work environment
• Cooperate with internal and external certification audits and customer auditsThe position is 1st shift, working 40-55 hours per week or a flexible split/swing shiftAdhere to Team Handbook, Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies, and procedures
• Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries, or accidents occurs immediately
• Perform additional tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Experience and Education

• CMM Inspection and Programming experience with Ziess or PC- DMIS2020R or NEWER or GOM & ATOS
• Must be experienced in reading blueprints and have a full understanding of GD&T
• Experience with inspecting formed sheet metal products
• Perform 1st Piece Laser Machining and Form Buy-offs
• Ability to complete detailed inspection plans documenting inspection results
• Must be able to works efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must have good organizational and documentation skills
• Background in Automotive and Aerospace Products is a plus

Full- time hours 1st shift (Direct hire)Pay: $34+/hr
