Job summary

Pennant Moldings LLC is seeking a CMM Programmer/Operator for the 1st shift in Pioneer, OH. The role inspects materials and parts to ensure conformance to specifications and supports PPAP, FMEA, and SPC processes with precision measuring equipment.

Qualified candidates will have a technical certificate and at least two years in manufacturing, with experience in CMM, GD&T, and PPAP tools. Training and growth are emphasized in a stability-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school with two years related experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with PPAP core tools and measurement methods preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret inspection instructions and use gages correctly.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect materials and products for conformance to specifications.
  • Measure parts using correct gauges and inspection equipment.
  • Fill out SPC charts and train others on measurement procedures.
  • Conduct PPAP submissions and document control plans and FMEAs.
  • Perform internal audits of the ISO 9001 quality system and address non-conformances.

Summary

Inspects materials and products such as sheet stock, auto body or engine parts, dental instruments, machine shop parts, and metal castings, for conformance to specifications by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Completes Quality Inspections to make sure only good product is being produced and shipped to the customer.
  • Follow the inspection instructions to measure parts needed.
  • Ensure all inspection sheets are being completed properly.
  • Train new operators on measuring parts using the correct gages and inspection equipment.
  • Fill out SPC charts and train others on the measuring and filling out the SPC paperwork.
  • Fill out PPAP paperwork including Control Plans, FMEA’s, Dimensional, Warrants, etc.
  • Do a full layout for PPAP submission.
  • Put Non-conforming products on hold with proper tag and work on Corrective actions as needed.
  • Put non-conforming product on hold in the inventory operating system.
  • Do Internal Audits for our ISO 9001 quality system.
  • Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Vision Inspection Systems for precise measurements and evaluations.
  • Do capability studies and gage calibrations as needed.

Education and/or Experience
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; and two years related experience and/or training in manufacturing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
