Job summary

Divergent is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to ensure precision and quality of manufactured components. You will develop programs, operate CMMs, and analyze measurements in a high-mix environment while collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Applicants should have expert PC-DMIS and Hexagon experience, strong GD&T skills, and a proven track record in metrology-driven process improvements. This on-site role offers robust compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in CMM programming and metrology within a precision or high-mix manufacturing environment.
• Expert-level skill with PC-DMIS and Hexagon CMM systems (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of GD&T and applying it to complex 3D geometries.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot metrology-related manufacturing challenges.
• Experience with standard precision tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, surface plates).
• Analytical approach to data review and process feedback.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to access information and technology subject to US export controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and execute CMM programs using PC-DMIS on Hexagon systems to inspect precision components.
• Perform hands-on CMM operation and dimensional analysis for additively manufactured and machined parts.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T to create accurate, repeatable measurement strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, machining, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues and improve manufacturability.
• Support development of automated inspection processes and connect metrology data with manufacturing systems.
