Job summary

Ppswork is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer for a full-time, on-site role in Solon, OH. The candidate will program and operate Hexagon CMM equipment using PC‑DMIS, create and optimize inspection programs, and perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections on precision CNC components.

The role requires reading blueprints with GD&T interpretation and strong attention to dimensional data. Collaboration with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel is essential to drive process

Job description

We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join a precision CNC machining operation. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for someone with strong Hexagon CMM and PC-DMIS programming experience.

What You’ll Do

• Program and operate Hexagon CMM equipment using PC-DMIS.
• Create and optimize inspection programs for precision-machined components.
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Read blueprints and interpret GD&T requirements.
• Analyze measurement data and document inspection results.
• Use gauges and precision measuring equipment to verify part conformity.
• Work with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve dimensional issues.
• Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and inspection process improvements.
• Maintain the calibration and accuracy of inspection equipment.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience programming Hexagon CMM equipment using PC-DMIS.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance CNC-machined components.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Experience with first-article and in-process inspection.
• Strong attention to detail and dimensional problem-solving skills.
• Precision machining, aerospace, or defense manufacturing experience is preferred.
