Job summary

CES/AWS is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer for our Automotive Manufacturer Client in Asheville, NC. The role focuses on programming, operating, and maintaining CMM programs, interpreting inspection data, and delivering accurate dimensional feedback to safeguard product quality.

The position requires 5+ years in metrology inspection, 3+ years of CMM programming using Calypso or PCDMIS, and strong GD&T knowledge with CAD data mastery. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in metrology inspection within manufacturing.
• Minimum 3+ years of CMM programming using Calypso or PCDMIS.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Proficient with CAD data and 3D models.
• Experience in CMM inspection, programming, calibration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CMM equipment for dimensional inspections.
• Develop, maintain, back up, and update CMM programs.
• Program CMMs using Calypso or PCDMIS software.
• Perform in-process, first-off, receiving and final inspections.
• Interpret GD&T, drawings, CAD data and 3D models.
• Provide dimensional feedback to Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Verify fixtures and gauge calibration activities.
• Manage calibration and maintenance of CMMs, fixtures, probes.
• Review inspection programs for effectiveness and current revisions.
• Create and update operator instructions for fixtures and programs.
• Train operators on CMM programs and inspection procedures.
• Evaluate results and communicate quality concerns.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
