Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join our quality team. You will design CMM programs using PC-DMIS, validate GD&T features, and maintain inspection documentation for machined components.

The role supports remote work with up to 50% travel, collaborating daily with Quality and Manufacturing engineers to identify issues and drive corrective actions, while ensuring ITAR/EAR compliance and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in CMM programming using PC-DMIS.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must comply with ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• CMM Programming: design PC-DMIS programs for various feature types and stages (roughed, semi-finish, finished).
• Quality Assurance: ensure accurate part feature representation per GD&T standards.
• Documentation: maintain inspection programs, measurement data, inspection reports, and NCRs.
• Collaboration: daily communication with Quality and Manufacturing engineers and production teams to address issues and drive corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to enhance quality processes and inspection procedures.
• Training Support: assist in training inspectors on CMM operation and techniques.
• Compliance: ensure adherence to safety, quality regulations, and company policies.
• Problem-Solving: use root cause analysis to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.

About the Opportunity:

We're looking for an experienced CMM Programmer Candidate. You will have the opportunity to work with an experienced and highly motivated team. The role will be processed based and will have a focus on programming and supporting CMM.

Location: This position can work remotely, with up to 50% travel

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• CMM Programming: Leverage existing PC-DMIS Programming Experience to design Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) programs for various feature types, stages of a parts throughout the process flow (roughed, semi-finish, finished) to ensure a robust inspection routines of machined components.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure accurate representation of part features in alignment with GD&T standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of inspection programs, including measurement data location, inspection reports, and non-conformance records.
• Collaboration: Communicate daily with Quality and Manufacturing engineers and production teams to identify next steps, address quality issues, opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance quality processes and optimize inspection procedures.
• Training Support: Assist in training initiatives for inspectors on CMM operation, inspection techniques, and quality standards.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality regulations, and company policies in all quality-related activities.
• Problem-Solving: Utilize root cause analysis tools to investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in CMM programming using PCDMIS
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• PC-DMIS Programming Experience
• Familiarity with manual layout inspection techniques and part features made in various machining processes such as turning and milling.
• Experience in aerospace and with nickel, titanium and aluminum is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret blueprints and sketches accurately.
• Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Adaptable to changing business needs and skilled in problem-solving.
