Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join a skilled team focused on robust inspection routines for machined components. The role emphasizes programming and supporting CMM activities within a process-based environment.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years in quality assurance and CMM programming, familiarity with PC‑DMIS, and the ability to work under ITAR/EAR regulations, with full-time status in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, CMM programming.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • CMM Programming: design and develop CMM programs for various feature types to ensure robust inspection of machined components.
  • Quality Assurance: ensure accurate representation of part features in GD&T alignment.
  • Documentation: maintain inspection program docs, measurement data, inspection reports, and non-conformance records.
  • Collaboration: communicate with Quality and Manufacturing engineers and production teams daily to address quality issues and corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to enhance quality processes and inspection procedures.
  • Training Support: assist in training inspectors on CMM operation and quality standards.
  • Compliance: ensure safety, quality regulations and company policies are followed.
  • Problem-Solving: apply root-cause analysis to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.

About The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced CMM Programmer Candidate. You will have the opportunity to work with an experienced and highly motivated team. The role will be process‑based and will have a focus on programming and supporting CMM.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • CMM Programming: Leverage existing PC‑DMIS Programming Experience to design Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) programs for various feature types, stages of a parts throughout the process flow (roughed, semi‑finish, finished) to ensure a robust inspection routine of machined components.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure accurate representation of part features in alignment with GD&T standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of inspection programs, including measurement data location, inspection reports, and non‑conformance records.
  • Collaboration: Communicate daily with Quality and Manufacturing engineers and production teams to identify next steps, address quality issues, opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance quality processes and optimize inspection procedures.
  • Training Support: Assist in training initiatives for inspectors on CMM operation, inspection techniques, and quality standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality regulations, and company policies in all quality‑related activities.
  • Problem‑Solving: Utilize root cause analysis tools to investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, CMM programming.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full‑time basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • PC‑DMIS Programming Experience.
  • Familiarity with manual layout inspection techniques and part features made in various machining processes such as turning and milling.
  • Experience in aerospace and with nickel, titanium and aluminum is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret blueprints and sketches accurately.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Adaptable to changing business needs and skilled in problem‑solving.
