Job summary

Applied Composites is seeking a CMM Operator for the 3rd shift to inspect a range of components and products per specifications and QA instructions. The role requires identifying quality issues in design or process to meet requirements.

You will operate Laser Trackers, PCMMs, and 3D scanners, read engineering drawings with GD&T, and document inspection results, supporting timely disposition and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Two years of relevant experience in composite manufacturing or repair.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T.
• Experience with metrology equipment and measurement software.

Responsibilities

• Performs Operator Level inspections with CMM equipment of various types.
• Conducts quality control inspections on products and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.
• Participates in analysis statistical data from processes to confirm compliance or identify deviations.
• Prepares and completes documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected items.
• Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues.
• Generates inspection reports to customer specifications (First Article, MBDS, Model Based Definition, and Dimensional reports).
