Job summary

IAC Group is seeking a Quality CMM Operator in Arlington, TX to ensure the accuracy and quality of automotive components using CMM, FARO Arm, and laser scanning. You will verify products meet customer specifications and support PPAP activities and continuous quality improvements.

Responsibilities include setting up inspection programs, analyzing measurement data in ERP, and communicating results to relevant departments. Strong math, communication, and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience following PPAP process for new product launches.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Solid shop math skills and measurement interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Determine part inspection requirements from blueprint features.
• Ensure inspection programs align with part numbers and revisions.
• Operate CMMs to measure and inspect automotive parts.
• Set up FARO Arm and perform laser scanning as required.
• Input and analyze measurement data in ERP software.
• Communicate inspection results and quality issues to teams.

Job Objective:

The Quality CMM Operator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of automotive components through advanced measurement and inspection processes. This role utilizes Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), FARO Arm technology, laser scanning equipment, and various inspection gauges to verify products meet customer specifications and quality standards. The position plays a critical role in supporting new product launches, PPAP activities, root cause analysis, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Determine part inspection requirements from customer's blueprint features
• Ensure the part-inspection programs are consistent with part number and revision level
• Operate computer programming hardware and software systems
• Analyze and troubleshoot fixed-type machine set-ups and inspections paths
• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to measure and inspect automotive parts
• FARO Arm setup and laser scanning
• Utilize ERP software to input and analyze measurement data
• Perform inspections using various measurement gauges
• Collaborate with team members to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions
• Communicate inspection results and quality issues to relevant departments
• Follow PPAP process guidelines for new product launches
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues
• Maintain status of key program deliverables from award through PPAP reviewing weekly the status with the
