Job summary

JM Fabrication Company, LLC is seeking a CMM Operator / Quality Inspector with PC-DMIS experience to perform dimensional inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies. The role requires hands-on CMM operation, strong blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to escalate questionable measurements.

The ideal candidate will also read engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5, maintain inspection records, and support root-cause investigations to improve inspection methods in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Two or more years of dimensional inspection experience in manufacturing, including hands-on CMM operation.
• PC-DMIS proficiency to load/run programs and interpret results.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS to run inspection programs and generate reports.
• Verify part identifications, drawings, and inspection programs before acceptance.
• Perform FAI, in-process, final and receiving inspections as assigned.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Apply GD&T to inspection setups, including datum frames and feature control frames.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, gauge pins and surface plates for manual inspections.
