Job summary

Garmin is seeking a Materials Engineer 2 - Metals in the U.S. headquarters region to deliver CMF solutions for products across market segments.

You will stay at the forefront of material innovations, verify CMF methods, and maintain a CMF database for ongoing program use. You will define explorations, determine root causes of CMF-related issues, and drive education on materials knowledge across the organization, collaborating with multi-disciplinary global teams to deliver verified solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a materials-related field with ≥2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to apply CMF tools and techniques.
• Strong communication and teamwork across global teams.
• Knowledge of metals, ceramics, coatings, and manufacturing.
• Proactive problem solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CMF solutions from requirements to product launch.
• Maintain knowledge of material innovations and CMF trends.
• Develop CMF verification processes and CMF databases.
• Define and communicate CMF exploration results.
• Address CMF-related quality and manufacturing issues.
