We are seeking an experienced CMDB Consultant to define and manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) strategy, governance, and data framework across the organization. The role requires strong expertise in ITIL/ITSM, CSDM, and CMDB best practices to ensure accurate, reliable, and actionable configuration data supporting IT operations and service management.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Define the CMDB strategy, governance model, and data management framework aligned with organizational objectives.
• Design and maintain the CMDB data model, including CI classes, relationships, and hierarchy, in accordance with ITIL/CMDB best practices.
• Establish and enforce CI naming conventions, class standards, and attribute definitions.
• Map and maintain relationships between applications, servers, networks, and business services.
• Collaborate with Change Management, Asset Management, ITSM, and ITOM teams to ensure process alignment.
• Ensure CMDB health through regular audits, reconciliation, discovery, and remediation of missing or incorrect data.
• Configure CMDB tools, deliver reports, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Advise stakeholders on CMDB strategy, reporting, compliance, and data quality improvement.
• Align CMDB with Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Management processes to support impact analysis and root‑cause investigations.
• Perform configuration management activities, including CI lifecycle management and data integrity enforcement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience defining and implementing CMDB strategy, CI/data models, and governance frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL, ITSM, CSDM, Service Model, Business Services, and Technical Services.
• Hands‑on experience with CMDB tools, discovery, integrations, and reconciliation processes.
• Ability to perform CI lifecycle management, data quality audits, and remediation.
• Experience delivering reports, dashboards, and metrics on CMDB health and CI compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to advise and collaborate with multiple IT and business stakeholders.
