Job summary

Castelion is hiring an R&D Technician to support its ceramic matrix composite (CMC) pilot line, focusing on operating chemical vapor deposition (CVD) reactors and recording process data.

Responsibilities include setting up and running cycles, monitoring equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring strict safety protocols and disciplined documentation while collaborating with engineering teams on process development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2+ years in hands-on mechanical, aerospace or manufacturing environments.
• Experience operating complex machinery including chemical reactors and high-temperature furnaces.
• Experience with aerospace composites and instrumentation is preferred.
• Willingness to swing shift (3:30pm to 11:30pm) and work with safety-critical processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run cycles for material batches on CMC pilot line.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot CVD reactors and related equipment.
• Record process data and note production anomalies for investigation.
• Enforce safety protocols for furnace and heavy machinery operation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on process development and improvement.
