The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures with minimal supervision, on a night shift schedule in a production environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial environments.

Castelion is seeking a Night Shift CVD Operations Technician to support development of hypersonic flight thermal protection system (TPS) materials. This hands‑on role is responsible for supporting chemical vapor deposition (CVD) reactor operations, maintaining equipment readiness, and executing standardized procedures to maximize reactor uptime and production throughput.

Night Shift CVD Operations Technician

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams to prepare reactors for operation, perform reactor turnaround activities, monitor process execution, and maintain safe, reliable operation of reactor equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently execute established procedures with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support overnight operation and monitoring of CVD reactors.

• Clean, inspect, and prepare reactors for production runs.
